A book of forms in ecclesiastical law and in the practice of the Arches Court, chiefly dated between 1580 and 1600, and relating to the archdeaconry of London, late 16th century
At fols. 46–7 is a table of the "Feoda ab antiquo debita in officio archidiaconatus London".
All the blank spaces are filled with idle scribblings, among which the name of James Pyford frequently occurs, with, amongst others, Peter Hearne at Wantage and Robert Garrett at Hatford, and "my loving grandfather Mr. Thomas Saunders at Finchley;" and on fol. 17 b is a memorandum of the christening of one James Pyford at St. Alban’s, Wood Street, London, 2 Aug. 1584, as certified by "John Beamounte, clerke of the same parrishe".
At the beginning and end of the volume some medical receipts are inserted.
