Including, at fol. 15, the famous species Semper Augustus. This, and one at fol. 4, Salifar (?), are the only drawings to which the names are attached.

On the first two leaves are prefixed two well-executed drawings; the first representing in the fore-ground (in evidently a life-like portrait) a sea-captain examining on shore the chart of a coast, with a dead body pierced by an arrow beside him, and in the back-ground, the line of coast on which he has landed, with three ships anchored, boat-loads of men disembarking and meeting the natives, and in the distance a battle; the second representing two broken fluted columns, with creeping plants growing round them.
