[Being a translation of the Latin account drawn up by Merc. Gattinara, the Imperial envoy, made by Claude de Chassey for Margaret of Savoy, to whom he sends it with a prefatory anonymous letter.]

The following title is prefixed by the seventeenth-century owner, Nys: — "Colloques et communications tenues au parlement et assemblee de Calais l’an 1521, a la poursuitte et par le moyen du Roy d’Angleterre, pour l’apaisement des differendz suscitez d’entre nostre sainct pere le Pape Leon X, l’empereur Charles V, et le roy de France Franchois I, contenans les demandes et pretentions faictez de part et d’aultre par leurs ambassadeurs y envoyez."

This MS. appears to have been sold at an auction held by Tho. Ballard, bookseller, 25 March 1714, of which sale the first leaf of the folio printed catalogue, containing a corresponding MS., which was found in another volume, is now here inserted.
