With an "Epilogue du traducteur aux dames".

Lorrain says in his dedication that he had sometimes heard Pepys say in conversation with women that they were not human beings or capable of salvation, and had supposed this paradox to be "la production de votre belle humeur," until he met with this treatise written some eighty years before.
