Notes of, and remarks on, lectures on mechanics and optics delivered by Francis Hauksbee, (of the Royal Society), chiefly in illustration, by experiments, of eight plates, between 21 Nov and 12 Dec 1716
The lectures are ten in number; but the ninth (fol. 23) is by "Mr. Chesilden [Will. Cheselden], a very accurate anatomist," illustrating the anatomy of the eye by experiments in dissection.
Hauksbee’s name is only casually mentioned at fol. 16, and may be faintly traced in the old, broken, and nearly lost, lettering on the back of the volume.
The notes are written by two hands.
