To this answer (printed in 1592) to Q. Elizabeth’s proclamation issued in 1591 under the title of Declaration of great troubles pretended against the realms by a number of Seminarie priests and Jesuits, a reply was published by Bacon, entitled Certain observations upon a libel published this present year 1592.

The MS. ends with the words, "The Lieftennaunts and Justices of Shires who are reputed;" and five leaves appear thereafter to be wanting.
