It was covered with two leaves of a folio vellum manuscript of the end of the 13th century, which are now bound up with it, and which contain, in double columns, a fragment of the second book of the Expugnatio Hibernica of Giraldus Cambrensis, from the middle of chap. vii. —"precipitem dedit," —to the middle of chap. xiii. —"Killeleoniam miliaribus a Limerico." The use of the word "miliaribus" for "stadiis" is said by Mr. Dimock in his preface to vol. v. of the Opera Giraldi, 1867, p. xxxii, to mark the later MSS. of the text, containing a revised edition.
