Three folios between pp. 154-5, 160-1, 164-5 are wanting.

A list of the principal contents, numbering upwards of 57 articles, is printed p. 1046, vol. iv. of Nichols’ History of Leicestershire, fol. Lond. 1811.

On pp. 1–28 is interspersed a series of the less common English words, alphabetically from A to J, with their meanings, selected from [H. Cockeram’s] English Dictionarie, or interpreter of hard English words [8º. Lond. 1623.] This (as well as some other papers entered in the index to this catalogue) is not noted in Nichols’ list.

The cover bears in gold a crest of a mailed arm bearing a spiked club or mace. On the inside is a partially erased memorandum in the handwriting of Thomas Rawlinson, but the MS. does not appear in his catalogue.
