"Thomas Wolsey, late Cardinall, his life and death, written by George Cavendish his gentleman usher", 16th century
Several passages found at pp. 117–121, vol. i. of Mr. Singer’s edition (Lond. 1825) are omitted here; a page and a half having been left blank where they occur, afterwards filled up by a later hand partly with the passage necessary to connect the narrative and partly with a table of chapters, in number twenty. There are frequent verbal differences from the printed text of Singer’s edition.
