"The travels of the honorable Banister Maynard eldest sonn and heir to the rt. hon. William lord Maynard through the chief countreys of Europe, perform’d in the years 1661 and 1662", 18th century
A diary of every day’s journey from Sept. 7, 1660, the day of quitting Paris, to 12 Apr. 1663, the day of arrival at London, kept by Robert Moody, who dedicates it to his master Banister Maynard. The countries traversed are France, Savoy, Piedmont, Italy, Hungary, Bohemia, Germany, Holland and the Spanish Netherlands. The tutor was one Mr. Henchman. At Paris, when returning from the tour, in Apr. 1662, the party was joined by lord Maynard’s second son, William.
