The Companies comprise the twelve greater Guilds, followed by these:—

  1. Bakers.
  2. Blacksmiths.
  3. Brewers.
  4. Cutters.
  5. Dyers.
  6. Embroiderers.
  7. Fruiterers.
  8. Joiners.
  9. Leathersellers.
  10. Musicians.
  11. Pewterers.
  12. Plaisterers.
  13. Scriveners.
  14. Stationers.
  15. Upholders.
  16. Weavers.
  17. Woodmongers.

At the end, on fols. 30–35, are added by Rawlinson

  1. i. A list of the contents.
  2. ii. A list of the Leathersellers’ Company in 1650, taken from the books of the Company for that year, and agreeing with the list here given.
  3. iii. Notes of Mayors and Sheriffs in 1649–51, with a note of enquiry addressed to Prof. Ward of Gresham College, with remarks by the latter assigning the lists to the year 1650 or 1651, and supposing the occasion to be the assessment of a tax for maintenance of the army. Thomas Andrews is entered in the list of the Fishmongers’ Company as "Major," and he held that office both in the years 1649 and 1651.
