- This copy was prepared for publication in the year 1597. At the end is the following note: "Mr. Collings, I pray enter this copie for Mathew Lownes to be prynted when he do bringe other attoryte. Thomas Man;" and we learn from Ames' Typographical Antiquities, vol. iii. p. 1379, that Lownes had a conditional license for printing the book in the above-mentioned year. That paragraph is wanting in this MS. which occurs at p. 27 in the text of the edition of 1633, but which Sir J. Ware says in his annotations (p. 121) is not found in the best MS. copy.
