Biographical / Historical
Late in 1955, the supply and distribution of tea in the UK was referred to the Monopolies and Restrictive Practices Commission. Overseas Tea Boards represented in the UK, including those of Kenya, Tanganyika (Tanzania), and Uganda, sought legal representation by the firm Bristows, Cooke and Carpmael, who advised them to produce jointly a Memorandum outlining the history, functions, and recent statistics for each individual Board (see items 2 and 3).
