Reports, leaflets, and cuttings concerning the tea industry in general, 1952-1963
There are many comments in Izard's hand, frequently indicating that copies of articles had been sent to the Secretaries of the three East African Tea Boards. Some of the cuttings, especially from the Tea and Rubber Mail, are referred to in the correspondence in MSS. Afr. s. 1257/7 and 8. Newspapers and journals from which cuttings were taken include: Birmingham Post, East Africa and Rhodesia, East African Standard, Economist, Monthly News Review of the Chichester Division Conservative and Unionist Association, Tea and Rubber Mail, Tea Leaf (issued by the Tea Bureau), The Times British Colonies Review, and Travers' Circular. Pamphlets and leaflets include:
- (fol. 25) 'London Tea Auctions' leaflet issued by the Tea Trade Committee, Jan 1955
- (fols. 27-34) 'Tea News Service Tea Notes', issued by the Tea Trade Committee, n.d.
- (fols. 46-52) 'Tea News Service Tea Facts', issued by the Tea Trade Committee, 13 May 1955
- (fols. 56-67) Catalogue for an auction of India and Africa Tea at the Tea Brokers' Association of London on 11 Jul 1955, n.d.
- (item 1) Indian Tea Association proceedings of the 77th Annual General Meeting on 7 Mar 1958 (pp. 32), n.d.
