Correspondence and miscellaneous papers concerned chiefly with Thacker's retirement and his plans, following leave in England from l Jul 1952, to settle in Kenya. Included is a copy of a Judgement in a Civil Case, dated 30 Jun 1952 and inscribed by him 'This is a copy of the last judgment which I delivered as a judge in Supreme Court Nairobi' (fols. 66-73).
