These papers cover the whole lifetime of the Society. The earliest records a public meeting held in the New Stanley Hotel, Nairobi, on 28 May 1952, at which it was decided that the Pioneer Society should be revived. A meeting of the Ad Hoc Committee was held on 4 Jun, and the first Committee Meeting took place on 21 Aug, when W.G. Beaton was elected Chairman.
