Album of 136 captioned photographs of Palestine, one map, and one cartoon of polo (along with two duplicates). This records a number of formal events, including a reception in Jerusalem on the occasion of the meeting of Chamberlain and Mussolini in Rome. The opening of the Bazaar for the Scotch Hospice, Coronation Parade, and King's Birthday Garden Party, the arrival of Sir Harold MacMichael (High Commissioner, 1938-1944) and the Palestine Partition Commission of 1938 (T. Reid). There is a posed and signed photograph of General Sir Arthur Wauchope (High Commissioner, 1931-1938) in 1938.

Other individuals shown include John Hathorn Hall, Battershill's predecessor, with his wife Torfrida; John Macpherson, Battershill's successor; Sir Charles Tegart, advisor on means of combatting terrorism in 1937-1938; General Wavell, Commanding Troops in Palestine; Sir Harry Trusted, Chief Justice; R. Poston, Private Secretary; and Edward Keith-Roach, District Commissioner. There are also polo matches, domestic photographs, and a few scenes at Malta and Port Said, presumably on the journey back to England.
