Certain instance papers have been removed from the general files MSS. Welensky Papers 357/1-3 to relevant files in the 'personal' series, where further correspondence on the same topic had been filed. African education was a territorial matter; European education and all higher education was Federal.

Much of the Minister of Transport and Prime Minister file sequences relate to Welensky's residual interests in Northern Rhodesian (Zambian) affairs. The files are arranged in chronological order.
