For programmes for the State Opening of Parliament and for other parliamentary occasions, see also MSS. Welensky Papers 429/7-12. For further parliamentary material, see MSS. Welensky Papers 314/1-315/7. Material of the (United) Federal Party parliamentary caucus will be found at MSS. Welensky Papers 474/2-475/6. The appointment of whips is covered at MSS. Welensky Papers 173/2-3. For the dissolution arrangements for the Assembly and its staff, see also MSS. Welensky Papers 159/1-163/2, 475/5, and 685/1.

'Statements' (288/1 onward) and 'Speeches' (MSS. Welensky Papers 433/1-453/1) include statements and speeches made by Welensky in the Federal Assembly. Members of the Federal Assembly, like those of the Legislative Assembly of Southern Rhodesia, styled themselves as MPs.

These files relate to the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association (CPA) overall and to its branches in the Federation. For Welensky's tour of Canada (1952) under the auspices of the CPA, see MSS. Welensky Papers 391/1-7, and 392/1-6 for his visit to the United Kingdom for the Coronation. See MSS. Welensky Papers 302/3 and 596/5 for further material on the 1957 CPA visit to the Federation.
