Federal Cabinet Papers: Cabinet Minutes, 'FGC' series - Cabinet conclusions, 1953-1954
These are mainly the Federal Prime Minister's set rather than Welensky's own. There are a few gaps in the main sequences, which are noted where they occur, but the papers of Cabinet committees are far from complete. The contemporary indexes [compiled either by the Office of the Prime Minister or his private office] are an essential tool for investigating the contents of the minutes ('conclusions') and agenda papers ('memoranda') of the full Cabinet and the Cabinet Committee on Future Planning. (See MSS. Welensky Papers 165/1-168/1.) The main topics covered by the two sets of Cabinet Information Papers are contained in the general index to this catalogue. All four main sequences were originally housed in box files. Minutes of special meetings of the Cabinet are included in the 'Cabinet conclusions', unless noted otherwise.
