Comprises:

photographs taken by Bern Schwartz early in his career as a portrait photographer. The subjects of these photographs diverge from the rest of his work, mostly comprising personal photographs of friends, in addition to street scenes taken in France and Belgium in 1965
a small amount of experimental negatives, contact sheets, and polaroid test shots taken of Bern, Philippe Halsman, and other sitters
media carriers (VHS tape and magnetic tape reel) that record interviews with Bern Schwartz
glass transparencies of portraits and personal scenes
colour transparencies of portraits
black-and-white prints created from copy-negatives. The original negatives are catalogued as MSS. Schwartz photogr. G. 49-55.
