(fols. 1-28) 'East African Institute': correspondence and notes concerning proposals for the formation at Moshi, Tanganyika (mainland Tanzania), of an independent, multiracial, non-political institute to provide information on East Africa for local and overseas consumption, commercial advice, surveys, and adult education. The papers are concerned with the first three meetings of a working group set up to define the nature and functions of the Institute. Correspondents are Marjorie Nicholson and Norman J.
