'Royal Commission Report': correspondence, memoranda, and printed papers; cuttings. To the outside front cover of the file is attached a list of 'References in Uncut Periodicals'; and on the inside cover is fastened a brown envelope containing press clippings:
- (fols. 1-23) cuttings from the African Eagle (Northern Rhodesia (Zambia)), Ashanti Pioneer, Manchester Guardian, Observer, The Times, and the Uganda Argus, about the Annual Report 1953 of the East African High Commission, and the Report of the Royal Commission on Land in East Africa 1953-1955; with articles on leasehold and competition in Lusaka, and land tenure and economic development in Southern Rhodesia (Zimbabwe). There are two letters to the Editor of The Times, both concerning the Royal Commission's Report. They are from Rita Hinden and J.P. McDonagh, 26 Jul 1954-13 Dec 1955
