- (fols. 17-36) correspondence between Anthony Brooke at Kingston Bagpuize and Major G.E.J. Gent, Colonial Office, consisting of copies of three letters from Anthony Brooke setting out in detail his thoughts on relations between H.M. Government and the Sarawak Government, alleged anti-British sentiments in Sarawak at the time of the Japanese invasion, the Constitution of 1941, and a scheme originally proposed in 1930 by Sir Cecil Clementi for a federation of 'British Borneo'. A letter dated 13 Feb 1931 from F.F. Boult to Bertram Brooke, relating to the last topic, is attached. There are five brief replies from Gent to Anthony Brooke, 5 Feb-25 Jul 1942
