George Peel (Defendants), in the Court of the Resident, State of Brunei: Brunei Civil Suit No. [1] of 1948. (See also MSS. Pac. s. 83/6, Vols 33 and 34.) The Plaintiffs were concerned to set aside the Cession of Sarawak to the British Crown and questioned also the legality of the transfer of £200,000 from the State funds to the Rajah's private account. Some of the documents are inscribed with the name of Theodore Page, Messrs W.C. Crocker, London, and copies of correspondence between that firm and Messrs Drew & Napier and the Registrar of the Supreme Court, Kuching, are included; also extracts from Straits Settlements Law Reports, 1948
