Swayne was a retired Sarawak Civil Servant and a member of the Sarawak Government Commission, which was reconstructed in 1944 by the Rajah as a Provisional Government. Eleven folders contain manuscript notes and extracts, some typed copies and completed sections, and a little correspondence and printed matter; they are numbered and labelled.
