G.T.M. MacBryan v. Anthony Brooke, in the High Court of Justice, King's Bench Division: 1946 M. No. 725. MacBryan sued Brooke for damages for libel contained in a memorandum headed 'G.T.M. MacBryan and his connection with Sarawak affairs' published by Brooke on or about 19 Jan 1946 in a circular letter sent by him to all Members of both Houses of Parliament and to the principal organs of the British press.
Documents are inscribed with the names of Counsel for the Defence (Kenneth Diplock, K.C., and Gilbert Paull, K.C.) and Theodore Page; there are two or more copies of some. Brooke's solicitors were Messrs William Charles Crocker. On 26 Feb 1948, MacBryan was certified to be of unsound mind, and the proceedings were brought to an end.
