- Folder 3: Assorted short stories and writings, including some unpublished prose. Includes: 'A Couple of Writers'; 'Advice to an Employer' ('Secretary'); 'Amuels' [an index card with Chandler annotations]; 'Backfire;' 'Beer in the Sergeant Major's Hat (Or the Sun Also Sneezes);' a preface 'This book is not dedicated to the American Medical Association' accompanying typescript of 'The Fifteen-Dollar Smile;' 'It's All Right-He Only Died'; 'A Routine to Shock the Neighbours'; 'Writers in Hollywood'[?] 1 page typescript with Chandler's amendments. Also unidentified prose including pages headed 'Narration,' 'Dramatic Setting,' 'Short Story Writing 52AB,' R.T. Chandler possibly from a correspondence course in short story writing, c.1931, n.d. and fragment of a play with cast 'Greer and Lawrence Tennant' etc. [folder formerly Dep. Chandler adds. 2]
