Letters from Strong to his friend and academic collaborator Dr. Jan van Dorsten (1959-1985), with a few incoming letters from van Dorsten (1973-1985) and some associated correspondence with relatives of van Dorsten. The content of these letters was used to help fill gaps in The Roy Strong Diaries.

Jan van Dorsten's wife initially sent photocopies of these letters to Roy Strong before returning the originals. As the photocopies were duplicates, they have been disposed of.
