Biographical / Historical

Maria Becket worked for the Ecumenical Patriarchate of Constantinople on environmental matters and international relations with other religious groups and political figures from 1991 to 2010, alongside her work on the Religion, Science and Environment symposia. This included organising of the Halki Ecological Institute event in Istanbul in 1999.
