Biographical / Historical
Maria Becket was involved with political activism on Palestine from the period of the Greek military junta onwards, when she went to train with the Palestine Liberation Organisation (PLO) in Lebanon to prepare for clandestine resistance in Greece. Maria Becket remained involved with the Palestinian movement throughout her life.
The collection contains papers on Farouk Kaddoumi (Abu Lutuf) of the PLO, as well as reports on human rights during the 1982 Lebanon War and reports, articles, correspondence and charity papers on Israel and Palestine up until 2012.
