Transcripts of papers and correspondence concerning Sir George Savile's intended reforms, made for Michael Bruce, 1844
The transcripts in MSS. Eng. d. 2838-2839 were made from the originals then at Osberton [Hall], and now in the Nottinghamshire Record Office (DDFJ/11/1/7; part of the papers of the Foljambe family of Osberton). Letters from the transcriber, 1844, are in MS. Eng. d. 2838, fols. 2-6. They include papers on Catholic emancipation, 1766-1782, including letters of Charles Watson-Wentworth, 2nd Marquis of Rockingham, Savile and others, papers relating to the [Yorkshire] Committee of Association [for economic and parliamentary reform], and (fols. 161-194) Savile's essay on free will.
