Folder 2 comprises professional correspondence, 1937-1950:

  1. correspondence relating to her appointment as Graduate Assistant, Department of Pharmacology, University of Oxford, and her resignation from the Council of the Pharmaceutical Society, Oct-Nov 1937
  2. correspondence and papers relating to a visit to Göttingen in connection with the formation of a medical research establishment, 1946-1948, including a diary of her journey from London to Germany, 16-26 Oct 1947, and certificate of authorization to travel between Hanover and Marburg, 21-26 Oct 1947 (in German and English)
  3. two letters from Robert L. Chapman regarding academic work by her father, K.D. Bülbring, on 'Clariodus', Oct-Dec 1950

Folder 3 comprises personal correspondence, 1940-1945:

  1. letters mainly from her sister Lucie Bülbring, Rotterdam, to Edith, Maud, Eek Kann and Schmick Stahel (many were addressed to Eek in America and forwarded by him to Edith and Maud), and some letters from Schmick Stahel, Zollikon, Switzerland, May 1940-Dec 1944 (mainly in Dutch and some in German)
  2. letters to Edith and Maud from 'Libby' Elizabeth [?Kann] and her husband's brother, Eek Kann, America, Aug 1940-Mar 1945, with news of family and friends in Holland, and including an account of the German invasion of Holland, and Libby's journey from Holland to America with her three children, where they lived initially with Eek and his wife, Joop (mostly in English, some in Dutch)
  3. letters to Edith and Maud from various correspondents, 1940-1945, in Dutch and English, including aunt Auna and uncle Kotus, The Hague, Holland, 22 Apr 1940; Otto Krayer, Massachusetts, America, 21 Dec 1940; Schmick Stahel, Zollikon, Switzerland, 1942, 1945; Jan Kann, Cossonay, Switzerland, 17 Oct 1942
