Letters from Col. Isaac Barre, MP, 1761-1785, relating to domestic and Irish politics, the conduct of the American War, naval affairs and India. Also includes letters from Admiral John Blankett, 1778-1799, concerning naval affairs, developments in the Far East and in Cape Colony, and invasion threats during the Napoleonic Wars, with unsigned reports on the court martial of Admiral Keppel, 1779. Additionally, microfilm contains letters from William Pitt, 1st Earl of Chatham, and his wife Hester, 1765-1771, 1772-1783, with drafts and copies of some replies from Shelburne.
