Biographical / Historical
The Society of Individualists was founded in 1942, many of its supporters drawn from the individualist wing of the Liberal Party. The group merged with the National League for Freedom in 1944, itself formed by those associated with the anti-socialist wing of the Conservative Party, and became known as the Society of Individual Freedom in 1947. The group was an association of libertarians, classic liberals, and free market conservatives promoting individual freedom. It closed down in 2022 due to low membership.
