- 'The Diary of Mrs. Jane Matilda Stace, Jan 1854 to Jun 1859', 1994. Includes notes on the St. Helena text of the diary by Hearl
- 'A Wife of the Empire: The Diary of Jane Matilda Stace, the Wife of a Royal Engineer, whilst on the Islands of Mauritius and St. Helena, 1854-1859', 2000 (updated version of the above)
The papers dated pre-1989 are copies.
