Until 1919 the title was Colonial Nursing Association (see, fols. 113-131).

  1. letter and memorandum by Lady Piggott (Jul.-Dec. 1895) with covering letter from the Colonial Office (6 Aug. 1914) saying that these concern "the starting point of the whole movement of the Colonial Nursing Association"
  2. circular despatches from Joseph Chamberlain to colonial governors forwarding reports by Dr. Gage Brown (and others) which discuss the question of providing trained nurses in Crown Colonies, Jan.-Jun. 1896
