  3. (fol. 90) Introduction by Sir Charles as the President of the Royal Historical Society to a lecture given by Professor McLaughlin in May 1918
  4. (fols. 91-110) correspondence relating to Sir Charles's interest in coins, including letters from (fol. 92) Frederick Harrison and (fols. 93-4) Philip Snowden. The contents of Sir Charles's collection of coins can be found in the sales catalogues listed here among the Charles Chichele Oman papers. One coin that at the time was thought to be the smallest in the world remained with this collection of papers and is now Library Object no. JL902. 1924 one shilling coin with engraved on verso 'To Sir Charles Oman P.R.N. a first trial piece by Frank Bowcher INV et EN [sic]' and hallmarks is now Library Object no. JL903. A commemorative or half penny coin with silhouette of Queen Victoria's head dated 1855 is now Library Object no. JL904.
