Correspondence concerning the establishment of, and deliberations of, the Chairman's Committee which was set up by Iain Macleod with Macmillan's approval to prepare the Party's manifesto for the next general election, Oct. 1961-Dec. 1962

[The Chairman's Committee was to be broadly similar to Macleod's Policy Study Group which formed a similar purpose between 1957-1959, but would be more representative of backbench Conservative opinion. Members of the Committee, which was chaired by Iain Macleod (but not in his capacity as Party Chairman), included:-
