Biographical / Historical

Walter Bentley Woodbury and James Page opened a photographic studio in Batavia, in the Dutch East Indies, in 1857. Henry James Woodbury, Walter's brother, joined them in 1859. James Page left the firm in 1861. When Woodbury returned to England in 1862, his younger brother Albert took over a studio in Chiribon, which was in business until 1910.
