Scrapbook containing two hundred and forty-four albumen prints and one tintype by various photographers, one signed by John Saché. Images include portraits of the British royal family, Abraham Lincoln, Florence Nightingale, and officers of the 86th Regiment. Gibraltar views include the Brigade Ground, the Casemate Barracks, and Gardiner's Battery. Other images include bull fighters, peasants, Spanish soldiers, Moorish beggars, Moroccan people, views of camp life in Port Elizabeth and the surrounding countryside in South Africa, and Mauritius, Egypt, Malta, and Ireland. Eight views of India (Calcutta, Cawnpore, Bombay, Agra, Delhi, Lucknow) are by Saché.
