Memoranda made by Sir Philip Rose for Lord Rowton on the Hughenden archives, 1882, with a few letters from others, mainly to Lord Rowton, 1887-1890.

Memoranda on parts of the Disraeli papers (mainly 1820s and 1830s), including brief lists of the subjects in various groups of the papers, short comments, and extended commentaries on some particular events or people, including:

  1. (fol. i) a typescript list of the subjects of the memoranda, 1961
  2. (fols. 21-32, 36-51) annotated fair copy, and draft, of commentary on G.B. Falcieri [see also Dep. Hughenden 10, fols. 112-131]
  3. (fols. 58-70, 74-85) fair copy and draft of comments on Disraeli's tour to the East in 1830-1831, particularly on W.G. Meredith [see also Dep. Hughenden 12/1-2], including an account of Meredith's diary of the tour (lent to Rose by the owner)
  4. (fols. 102-103, 106-107) draft and fair copy of comments on Lady Sykes [see also Dep. Hughenden 13/1-2]
  5. (fols. 109-110) Lord Henry Stanley and Disraeli in 1831
  6. (fols. 237-244) Mrs. Brydges Williams (see also Dep. Hughenden 19/1, fols. 1-98)
