Nicolaas Henneman seated at a chess table. This print appears to be a cropped version of a larger negative that shows Henneman playing chess with an unidentified man seated to his left.

On the verso, written in pencil, is "One of the Assistants. Nicolaas Henneman". A misspelling of the name, "Nicholaas", has been crossed out.
