Portrait of one of Talbot's daughters. She is most likely Rosamond, but is sometimes identified as Matilda or Ela.

On the verso, written in pencil, is "Miss Fox Talbot (probably Ela)".

Biographical / Historical

Ela Theresa Talbot (1836-1893) was the first child of Henry Fox Talbot and Constance Talbot [née Mundy].

Rosamond Constance Talbot (1837-1906) was the second child of Henry Fox Talbot and Constance Talbot [née Mundy].

Matilda Caroline Gilchrist-Clark [née Talbot] (1839-1927) was the third child of Henry Fox Talbot and Constance Talbot [née Mundy].
