Comprises:
Bundle of seven deeds (1691-1755) giving title to lands in the parish of Clarendon and St. Iago de la Vega (parish of St. Catherine) purchased by Richard Dawkins, 1691, 1698, 1699. Also two deeds whereby James Dawkins (via Henry Dawkins, his attorney) sold lands in St. Catherine's parish, 1755.
Bundle of fifteen deeds (1665-1755) (labelled 1669 "from Bundle 20") chiefly grants of land by Letter Patent, including one to James Dawkins, 1722, of 300 acres in Clarendon. Also dockets of Letters Parent issued to Richard Dawkins (1682-1693) granting land in Clarendon and St. Catherine's, and abstract of purchases and sales by Henry Dawkins (1750-1755) A bargain and sale of 1703 recites that Major William Dawkins, and his sons Henry and Thomas all died intestate.
Bundle of fifty three plans ("plats") of plantations (1666-1769) labelled "27", such as were made of newly surveyed land after the issue of Letters Patent. Mention of William, Henry and James Dawkins.
Bundle of four deeds (1690-1743) labelled "40", including a copy of the will of Henry Dawkins (J) of Clarendon (1743) with bequests to his sons, James and William.
Bundle of ten deeds (1703-1754), chiefly wills, showing how the Sutton estates in Jamaica descended to Henry Dawkins II, described in the will of John Sutton (1750) as his godson and nephew (endorsement shows great-nephew). Includes abstract of title.
