Comprising

Album of captioned photographs of Nigeria, 1935-1947, including the Emir of Zaria, Zaria City, markets, festivals, law and order, visit of the Governor to Zaria in Feb 1936, Birnin Gwari, Chikun district, Kachiya, Katab district, funeral dance at Angwan Rimi, Kagarko district, tribal court, Ibadan and River Niger, with loose photograph of Giles in uniform, late 1930s. The album includes three pencil drawings of Nigerians, some group photographs of the Oxford Colonial Service course cadets whom Giles supervised and photographs of England and Europe, 1948-1950.
Album of photographs, circa 1952, including Sokoto, the Sultan of Sokoto, Sokoto market, hospital and school, and the installations of the Emirs of Katsina and Abuja.
