"The case of the Roman Catholicks of Ireland;" in two parts, early 18th century
File
MS. Rawl. B. 482
Held at the Weston Library
The following description of the MS. is prefixed, in the handwriting of E. Umfreville: "This MS. beginns from the time of Charles I of blessed memory, setting forth the great hardships which the Roman Catholicks in Ireland have suffer'd, and brings their deplorable case down to the Revolution and what followed immediately on that fatal period. The writer gives a very just account of the true and genuine causes which hurried the Irish papists into the rebellion after 41, but in many other particulars I fear he is not much to be depended on."
