The vellum cover bears on the outside this title: "The accompte of sir Allen Apsley and sir Sampson Darell, knights, surveyors generall for the victualls for sea causes and marine affaires, for one whole yeere, begun the first of Januarie, 1624, and ended the last of December, 1625."
