Duckworth established Lagos Boys' Holiday Camp in 1942 in Igboshere village, Kurama Waters.

  1. Fols. 1-17: Typescript record by Duckworth of the discovery in March 1942 of a suitable site for a boys' camp and its development and activities during the following five months, 31 May-17 Aug 1942.
  2. Item 1: Visitors' book, 1943-1961. Signatures during 1943-1944 include those of Oliver Stanley, Secretary of State for the Colonies, Professor W.M. Macmillan and Dr Julian Huxley. Duckworth himself signed the book on several occasions, including 12 May 1954 when he gave his address as Cheltenham. There are a few signatures in 1955 and a considerable number, including Duckworth's, in 1961. At the end of the book are lists of African names with records of weight and height.
  3. Item 2: "The Lagos Boys' Holiday Camp", reprinted from Nigeria with slight additions, in booklet form, n.d. 17 pages.
  4. Item 3: "A Nature Reserve and Outdoor Science Laboratory for Lagos" by Duckworth, n.d. [see MSS. Afr. s. 1451, box 6, file 4, item 2]
