  6. Fols. 42-62: Letter from Goldie to the Foreign Office with correspondence from J. McTaggart, the Company's senior executive officer at Forcados, concerning the entry of the French gunboat 'Ardent' into the Niger and the seizure of the launch 'Faji' by the Company's officials, 22 May 1895.
  7. Fols. 63-67: Paper on the establishment of a customs union, 1 Jan 1896.
  8. Fols. 68-76: Memorandum by Goldie on the Nupe Campaign, 24 Nov 1896.
